Rejuvenate and Relax Sessions

It’s no secret that we specialize in skin care. From our micro-needling to biosynthesis LED treatments, we want to bring you only the best and latest techniques to guarantee that you have healthy skin. Still, we want to share with you our rejuvenate and relax sessions.

After all, a bit of stress relief is good for you, and you should always make time to treat yourself. Plus, these therapies are also a great supplement to your skincare routine.

So without further adieu, here are just a few extra services that we offer.

LaStone Facial

Have you ever thought of getting a massage…with stones? The tradition of using hot and cold stones in conjunction to wellness dates back to almost 2,000 years ago. Primarily the technique was used in China, but there’s also records of stones being used for this purpose in North America, South America, Egypt, and India.

Making its resurgence in Western Civilization around 1993, LaStone therapy has taken on many forms. Using smoothed out stones to massage various points on the face induces relaxation. Alternating the temperatures of the stones on your skin will also stimulate your lymphatic and circulatory systems.

Paraffin Wax Treatments

As a kid, have you ever dipped your finger in candle wax just to see the mold that it made? Well, paraffin wax is kind of like that, but it can be used to soften your skin and alleviate pain. First developed in 1830, by German chemist Karl von Reichenbach, paraffin wax was made to separate and refine waxy substances found in petroleum.

It wasn’t until the First World War that paraffin wax was used as a treatment towards skin ailments by French physician Edmond Barthe de Sandfort. Initially it was used to treat burns, but it was soon found to have applications in alleviating joint pain and making skin softer. The wax doesn’t just moisturize skin, but it also induces pore-opening perspiration akin to using a sauna.

Facials

Sometimes it’s best to stick with the basics. At Skin Deep, we want to go above and beyond with our facials. Each one that we offer includes mapping, extracting, exfoliation, and a deep cleansing. The variants that we practice address specific needs for each client.

Maintenance – This is a great option for those who are just getting into skincare or just short on time. The maintenance facial consists of a 45 minute session along with a consultation for maintaining healthy skin at home.

Custom– This facial packs an extra punch with a masque. Also, for added relaxation, it includes a back and foot massage. Who can complain about that?

Back-ial – Well, this one is technically not a facial. It’s a facial for your back, hence, “back-ial.” Your epidermis your largest organ. With the back-ial, you be at ease knowing that those hard to reach spots are getting some love.

Give Your Routine a Boost

The more major treatments that we offer definitely have their place towards maintaining healthy skin. As for convenience though, our Rejuvenate and Relax are great for a more monthly supplement for skin care. If you’re curious about other treatments and ways that we can help you get the results that you want, we always offer FREE consultations to evaluate your routine and get you on the right track.
